For nearly the last two years I have been working on a book about my hero, Tom Francois. For those who know Tom, his inspiration is everlasting and non-stop. Tom is a right-leg amputee who ten months later, was an Olympic torch-bearer in the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Now, at 74 years old, he is living out his dream as the inspiring force behind the Santa Rosa Junior College Bear Cubs baseball team as they are the No. 1 ranked team in California, looking to win their first first state championship since 2005. I recently had the honor of Sports Illustrated‘s The Cauldron to run a excerpt of a chapter from my book, Light The Fire Within.
While I am working non-stop to get the whole book published, here’s a first look at the story. Please click HERE for the excerpt and I would truly appreciate it if you could share with as many people as possible. Feedback is always welcomed. It only takes one person to believe in Tom’s story for this dream to become a reality. Thanks!
