Leghorns still alive in American Legion World Series

With great pitching and one big swing, the Petaluma Leghorns advanced in the American Legion World Series, defeating Burnsville, Minn., 3-1. Sunday was Military Appreciation Day at Keeter Stadium in Shelby, N.C. and the Leghorns donned blue camouflage jerseys to honor our service men and women.

Petaluma will play the loser of Louisiana and New Jersey today at 5:30 p.m. PST.
