The Petaluma Leghorns lost 8-5, to a pesky Gonzales, LA, in Game 1 of the American Legion World Series in Shelby, N.C. at Keeter Stadium.

In Friday’s game, Gonzales scored all eight of its runs in the bottom of the third inning.
