Hance Smith, shortstop for last summer’s Petaluma National Little League All-Star team and freshmen at Casa Grande High School, will join Chris Joaquim and Spencer Torkelson in Cary, N.C. at the National Team Identification Series, to compete for a spot on next summer’s 15-under Team USA baseball team.

Smith got a call last week from the Team USA coordinator to try out in September. He will play for the USA Stars, an at-large team consisting of players from all over the country, while Joaquim and Torkelson are on the Northern California Team.
