Fireworks exploded past the Fourth of July for the Petaluma Leghorns, when they defeated the host team Fairfield Expos, 9-0, on Monday to win Fairfield’s Fourth of July Tournament. The Leghorns won six games in a row for their first tournament win of the summer.
The Leghorns scored one run in the first inning, as Chase Stafford singled, stole second base and scored on a Weston Bryan single.
